A five minute walk from the house, cove harbour is on the banks of Loch Ewe. Boats and kayaks can be launched from this harbour.
Following the road to the end of the headland (1/2 mile) brings you too what is left of bunkers which were occupied during the defence of the Russian Convoy Submarines and ships during WW2. More information.
Firemore beach, Inverasdale
A stunning long sandy beach, one mile from the house. The area offers a bounty of sandy beaches.

Eight miles away is the nearest village, amenities include a swimming pool, a well stocked local shop and post office, and a wonderful local market every Tuesday, between April and October.
For those days when a meal out is in order, Poolewe Hotel has a very popular Bistro. Also, The Bridge Cafe which is an artisan cafe serving fresh home grown produce and bread, with fantastic hot chocolate! – ideal spot for lunch after a walk along River Ewe.
Around the coast to Laide there is a community wood that is well worth a visit for its wildlife, or maybe just to have a picnic.
The bulkiest of the three Torridon Peaks, and Britains only waymarked mountain walk, set in a nature reserve with visitors centre.
